James Curtis Watkins

James Curtis Watkins of West Liberty, KY, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, KY, at the age of 61 years, 11 months, & 19 days.  He was born Sunday, March 25, 1962 at Wilmington, OH, son of Jim & Alice Fay Watkins.

James was a Christian and will be remembered as a loving brother and uncle.  He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Alice Fay Watkins.

He is survived by five brothers, Matthew Watkins (Phyllis) of West Liberty, KY, Kenny Watkins (Julie) of Wilmington, OH, James Corty Watkins (Beulah) of Winchester, KY, Darryl Watkins (Nancy) of Mt. Sterling, KY, and Rick Watkins of Ohio; three sisters, Waveline Silvers of Winchester, KY, Kathryn Tipton of Mt. Sterling, KY, and Nora Miller of Lexington, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service 1 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2024 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Rev. Vernon Lewis officiating.  Burial to follow in the Lewis & Howard Cemetery, West Liberty, KY.  Visitation from 12 -1 p.m., Monday, March 18, 2024 at the funeral home.
