I was lucky enough to meet George on a mission trip from Chicago. He showed me what a God loving man really is. Always looked forward to coming down and seeing his smile. Heaven became a better place this week. Love you George, prayers for your family

Our youth group first met Pastor George in 2009 at New Hope Baptist Church when we came down on a mission trip. I will always remember how he amazed the teenaged boys by working alongside them on the rehab projects, how he loved and welcomed our group into his life, his church and his community. He has touched so many people, who all are better for getting to know him. We will all miss him.

George and his wife Pat were like family. I grew up with George jr. and James. we were always together at church or spending nights together at his house or mine. I have so many memories and all of them good. like when I would spend the weekend with George jr. we would go to church on sunday and George sr. always had these OLD VANS there would be the 2 front seats but nothing in the back so us kids would just sit and bounce around the floor as we drove to church it was a blast. I have just Love and Respect for George and Pat. and just want to say GOD Bless them they will always be in Heart.
