David Leigh Collins of West Liberty, KY, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019 at his residence, at the age of 68 years, 5 months, and 21 days. He was born Monday, January 1, 1951, at West Liberty, KY, son of the late Clyde & Joyce Ferguson Collins.

David was an employee of the City of West Liberty Water Plant for over 20 years, and he was a United States Navy Veteran, serving his country in 1971. David was a Christian and loved God and his family very much. His faith touched many people’s lives. He loved many and was loved by many.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Melonie & John Heckerman.

He is survived by two daughters, Amber Pippen & husband, Billy and Katie Reynolds all of West Liberty, KY; two granddaughters, Katlin Reynolds and Samantha Reynolds; four brothers, Paul Collins & Linda, Danny Collins & Alice, Jesse Collins & Felicia; and Billy Collins; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his special friend & his brother for life, Kevin Cantrell & son, Dillon Cantrell.

Funeral service 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Hunter Fraley & Bro. Jamie Brunk officiating. Burial to follow in the Greear & Cundiff Cemetery, Grassy Creek, KY with the Morgan Co. DAV Chapter 132 to conduct military rites at the grave site. Visitation 6 p.m., Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers: Kevin Cantrell, Dave Hinton, Adam Lewis, Bobby Meeks, Ray Adkins, and Dave Elliott.
Honorary Pallbearers: James Allred, Billy Pippen, Bobby Allred, Jimmy Allred, and Keith Allred.
