Freeland Watson of Mount Sterling, KY, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019 at St. Joseph, Mount Sterling, KY, at the age of 82 years, 10 months, and 28 days. He was born Saturday, July 18, 1936, at Malone, KY, son of the late Henry Clay & Melissa Nora Lykins Watson.

Freeland was united in marriage to Joyce Dulin. This union was blessed with one son, James Clayton. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving his country during the Vietnam War from 1963 – 1966. He was a retired Lead Cutter and a loving husband and father. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by ten brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Dulin Watson; one son, James Clayton Watson of Mt. Sterling, KY; and one daughter, Jennifer Watson Steele of Ohio.
Funeral service 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Rick Pelfrey officiating. Burial to follow in the Ezel Cemetery, Ezel, KY. Visitation from 6 – 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at the funeral home.
