Loretta Joyce Lewis LeMaster of Lacy Creek, KY, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center, Morehead, KY, at the age of 75 years, 9 months, and 11 days. She was born Wednesday, August 18, 1943, at Lacy Creek, KY, daughter of the late Floyd & Edna Margaret Cox Lewis.

Joyce was united in marriage to a very good man, her “Babe”, Dan LeMaster, Jr. on her birthday on August 18, 1962. This union was blessed with two children, Athena Jan & William Dan. She was a homemaker, devoting her life to care for her family and her home. She was a substitute teacher in Morgan County for many years. She was saved and baptized in 1961 at the age of 18 and was a member of the Lacy Creek Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt and will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Kermit Lewis, Paris Lewis, Kennell Lewis, and Bill Lewis; two sisters, Jewell Young and Joan Askins; one sister-in-law, Cindy Lewis; and a cousin & special friend, Janie Collinsworth.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Dan LeMaster, Jr.; two children, Athena Jan & Thomas Blackburn of Lacy Creek, KY, William Dan & Leah LeMaster of West Liberty, KY; two grandsons, Nicholas Reo Blackburn and Cameron Andrew Bush; one sister, Janis Lewis Jones of West Liberty, KY; five sisters-in-law, Leova Lewis, Sharon Lewis, Grace Lewis, Peggy Hawkins, and Inez Nelson; a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and her special friends, Gay Cottle, Glenda Franklin, Esther Cain, Peggy Williams & Keith, Ella Mae Nickell, Janice Stapleton, and Kayla Patrick-Bear.
Funeral service 1 p.m., Friday, May 31, 2019 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Elder Paul Jarvis & Bro. Tim Jenkins officiating. Burial to follow in the Dawson Cemetery, Lacy Creek Road, West Liberty, KY. Visitation 6 p.m., Thursday, May 30, 2019 at the Potter Funeral Home.
