Dalmer Ray Harper of West Liberty, KY, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the Bluegrass Hospice Care Center, Hazard, KY, at the age of 61 years, 9 months, and 4 days. He was born Thursday, April 4, 1957, at Fort George G. Meade, MD, son of the late James Archie & Shirley Jean Campbell Harper.

He was united in marriage to Terrie Lynn McKenzie. This union was blessed with four children, Jessica, Laura, Leah, and James. He was a truck driver for Adkins Trucking for several years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Rickie Harper; and his mother-in-law, Wanetta Perry McKenzie.
He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Terrie Lynn McKenzie Harper; three daughters, Jessica Fallen Baskin & Jason of Georgetown, KY, Laura Rae Harper McCormick & Shawn of Dayton, OH, and Leah Ray Harper of Sarasota, FL; one son, James Clayton Harper of Dayton, OH; eight grandchildren, Justin Harper, Jaelyn Freed, Camren Freed, David Kincaid, James Harper, Jr., Savannah Kincaid, Khloe Harper, and Christopher Harper; two sisters, Lisa Harper Noble & Cairn of MI and Karen Harper Gevedon & Marty of Centerville, KY; two half-sisters, Tonya Harper & Jamie Harper of West Liberty; several nieces & nephews; his father-in-law, Donald Henry McKenzie of West Liberty, KY; one sister-in-law, Donna McKenzie Perry & Jackie of West Liberty, KY; and one brother-in-law, Donald Shawn McKenzie also of West Liberty, KY.
Funeral service 1 p.m., Friday, January 11, 2019 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Elder Tom Steele officiating. Burial to follow in the Lewis Family Cemetery, Shady Lane, West Liberty, KY. Visitation from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Friday, January 11, 2019 at the funeral home.
