Jerry Michael Haney of West Liberty, KY, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Morgan County ARH, at the age of 70 years, 10 months, and 27 days. He was born Wednesday, January 21, 1948, at Florress, KY, son of the late Stanley & Nannie Kate Easterling Haney.

Jerry was united in marriage to Sharon Darlene Howard on June 7, 1969. To this union were born two children, Tamara Darlene & Zach. Jerry was very active in the community. A member of the Church of Christ at Lacy Creek, past District Deputy Grand Master, past Master of Elkfork Masonic Lodge #755, and a current member of the Highland Masonic Lodge #311. He was also a member of the Elkfork Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, past Deputy Grand Patron of District 4. He was a former Boy Scout Den Leader and also coached Little League Baseball for a number of years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Sue Kinner and Bonnie Mae Center; two brothers, Henry Clay Haney and Herbert E. Haney; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Winfred and Nannie Mae Howard.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Sharon Howard Haney; his daughter & son-in-law, Tamara Darlene & Wallace Hensley of West Liberty, KY; his son & daughter-in-law, Zach & Misty Haney of West Liberty, KY; three grandchildren, Stanley Brack & Jada Hensley, Branson Clay Haney, and RaeLynn Brooke Haney; two great grandsons, Zayden Lucas Hensley & Zachariah William Hensley; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Potter Funeral Home, with Elder Jimmy Adkins, Bro. Delbert Coffey, & Bro. Tim Jenkins officiating. Burial to follow in the Church of Christ Cemetery, Lacy Creek, KY. Visitation after 6 p.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2018 with Masonic Services at 7 p.m., conducted by Highland Masonic Lodge #311.
