Obituary for Karen Gail Adkins Kinner

Karen Gail Adkins Kinner, 55, of West Liberty, quietly passed away Sunday morning, July 29, 2018, at home surrounded by family.
She was born November 17, 1962, in West Liberty, a daughter of the late Jerome Adkins and Goldie Mae Davis Adkins. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Renny Adkins; one niece, Kayla Adkins; mother-in-law, Sue Kinner; and sister-in-law, Belinda Adkins.
She was united in marriage on August 21, 1982, to Gregory Neil Kinner and to this union were born two sons, Channing Neil and Austin Blake.
Karen enjoyed family gatherings with her brothers and sisters and their families at their homeplace in Redwine. She adored her two sons, Channing and Austin, and after learning of her diagnosis in 2009 her only wish was to see them graduate school and college and after seeing her youngest do that she said, “I have met my goal – all is well.”
Surviving are her husband, Gregory Neil Kinner of West Liberty; two sons, Channing Neil and Leah Kinner of West Liberty and Austin Blake Kinner at home; three brothers, Kenneth Adkins of Lexington, Timmy and Marlene Adkins of Morehead, and Ricky Adkins of Redwine; two sisters, Tammy Cooper of West Liberty and Nalma and Jackie Howell of Elkfork, KY; nephews and nieces whom she loved dearly, Dustin and Sarah Adkins of Redwine, Brian and Charity Adkins of Mt. Sterling, KY, Tyler and Chasity Howell of Morehead, KY, Brandon and Lindsey Howell of Hillsboro, KY, Shawn Cooper of West Liberty, Chad Michael Adkins of Michigan, Desiree Adkins of Morehead, and Amber and Dustin Williams of West Liberty, great nephews and niece, Aaron Adkins, Ella Adkins, Parker Williams, and Gunner Cooper; and father-in-law, Earl Kinner of West Liberty.
Funeral service 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 2, 2018 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Elder Jimmy Adkins officiating. Burial to follow in the Adkins Family Cemetery, Redwine Road, West Liberty, KY. Visitation after 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 1, 2018.
Pallbearers: Jackie Howell, Tyler Howell, Brandon Howell, Shawn Cooper, Dustin Adkins, and Brian Adkins.
