Obituary for Bobby "Buster" Lee Cottle

Bobby Lee “Buster” Cottle of West Liberty, KY, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center, Morehead, KY, at the age of 91 years, 3 months, and 28 days. He was born Monday, December 27, 1926, at Cottle, KY and was the son of the late Kash Cottle, Sr & Virgie Lacy Cottle.

Bobby married Gaye Frederick Cottle on June 20, 1953. They were blessed with four children: Kenneth Cottle, Charlette Allen, Paul Cottle, and Bobby Scott Cottle.

Bobby was a U.S. Army Veteran. He worked numerous jobs as a sawmill operator, factory worker, heavy equipment operator, coal mining, and farming. He loved hard work, working with his hands, cultivating the fields, and caring for his livestock.

On June 24, 1956, Bobby was saved, baptized and joined the Lacy Creek Church of Christ. There he served as trustee. He was dedicated to his Christian life and loved the Lord.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Paul Lynn Cottle; four sisters, Ivory Linderborn, Ruby Jacobs, Ruth Maddox, and Viola Waters; and two brothers, H.B. Cottle & Kash Cottle, Jr.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife Gaye Frederick Cottle; three children, Kenneth Cottle, Charlette & Hank Allen, and Bobby Scott & Joanna Cottle all of West Liberty, KY; seven grandchildren, Gretta & Freddie Hylton, Chaz & Emily Allen, Jon & Telia Cottle, Sara & Brandon Coulter, Amber Cottle, Brittney Cottle, and Leah Cottle; six great grandchildren, Carla Hylton, Matt Hylton, William Allen, Thomas Cottle, Sawyer Coulter, and Kace Coulter.

Funeral service 11 a.m., Friday, April 27, 2018 at the Lacy Creek Church of Christ, with Elder Jimmy Adkins, Rev. Emily Allen, Elder James Frederick, Elder Dan Hittepole, and Elder Tom Steele officiating. Burial to follow in the Lacy Creek Church of Christ Cemetery, Lacy Creek, KY. Visitation 6 p.m., Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the Potter Funeral Home.

Pallbearers: Chaz Allen, Jon Cottle, Freddie Hylton, Matt Hylton, Brandon Coulter, and Hunter Williams.
