Lillian Fern McGraw of Mt. Sterling, KY, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024, at her residence, at the age of 82 years, 5 months, & 5 days. She was born Friday, October 10, 1941 at Bowen, KY, daughter of Dewey & Nettie Lane Rogers.
Lillian was a homemaker, devoting her life to care for her family and her home. She was a Christian and was of the Church of God Faith. Lillian was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey & Nettie Lane Rogers; her first husband, Robert Austin Maberry; her second husband, Romillius Clay Townsend; and third husband, John Cortis McGraw; one son-in-law, Dudley D. Dyer; one daughter-in-law, Joyce Wright; four brothers; three sisters; her beloved dog, Muffin; and her best friend of over 60 years, whom passed away the day before Lillian did, Irene Johnson.
She is survived by nine children, Rebecca Diane Dyer of Morgan County, KY, Gregory Lee Maberry (Bonnie Rogers) of Stanton, KY, Tammie Williams (Kenneth) of Morgan County, KY, Norvin Maberry of Mt. Sterling, KY, Paul Maberry (Lula) of Morgan County, KY, Rhonda Sparks (Wade) of Mt. Sterling, KY, Donnie McGraw (Cheryl) of Morgan County, KY, Danny McGraw (Brittany) Sandy Hook, KY, and JoAnna Palmerton (Len) of Mt. Sterling, KY; 20 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren on the way; 2 great grand-dogs and 2 great grand-cats; one brother, Irvil Rogers of Frenchburg, KY; and several nieces & nephews.
Funeral service 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Rev. Karl Elam & Andrew Sparks officiating. Burial to follow in the McGraw / Nickell Cemetery, Rockhouse, KY. Visitation 6 p.m., Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at the funeral home.
